Not all Law Firms are Equal: Technology & COVID19 Shutdown

The COVID-19 Pandemic has not only made its mark on the world as we know it but has made a lasting impact on the way the legal system works today.  Lawyers needed to adapt, just like the rest of the world, during the months of quarantine lockdown.  Law firms suddenly found themselves facing a shutdown of the vast majority of courts, as well as almost all of the prisons and jails. Lockdown caused there to be a halt to in-person court hearings; with a growing concern of COVID with cases rising.

Suddenly lawyers were forced to use new technology – many of them had not even touched before.  Some law firms are still struggling to adapt to these new technologies.  Having an attorney who can use technology, used currently in the courts during these times, is extremely important.

Many courts are continuing to only conduct their hearings over mediums such as zoom, and YouTube live-streaming; to continue to abide by COVID guidelines.  It is so hard for attorneys to truly keep up and understand that they offer zoom training courses for lawyers that they can pay for and take online.  Many lawyers are frantically taking courses to try to learn how to do their job in the ever-changing world of the Internet.   McCririe Law is calm because we have a firm grasp on the technology out there.

Governor Whitmer’s stay-at-home order forced many law offices to go virtual across Michigan.  Here at McCririe Law, we are ahead of the technology curve.  We not only understand the technology used presently in court systems throughout Michigan, but we also offer virtual counseling- meaning we offer meetings over zoom and from the comfort of your own home.

You want legal representation who cares, who fights for you, and who knows how to lead you through the new hurdles COVID has presented our legal system.  You want McCririe Law.
